The Supreme Court of India has given 48 hours to the candidates to reveal their criminal nature on the party's website. At the same time, the country's highest court has given the Election Commission four weeks to create a mobile app to expose their criminal character to the public. Justice RF Nariman and Justice BR Gawai on Tuesday issued the directive to make politics free from corruption and crime. The directive states that within 48 hours of nominating a candidate for a vote, all details of his or her criminal records must be made public. In addition to newspapers, the information must be posted on the party's website within 48 hours, so that the public can know everything. The same directive was issued by the Supreme Court of India before the Bihar Assembly polls in February last year. It was then said that all the information has to be given 48 hours before the selection of candidates or two weeks before the submission of nomination papers. The court fined CPM and NCP Rs 5 lakh and BJP, Congress, Janata Dal, RJD, CPI and LJP Rs 1 lakh for violating the directive. The instructions were given to the Election Commission then said that for the convenience of the public, a mobile app should be created, where all the news of the criminal records of the candidates will be posted. This will allow any person to be aware of the criminal character of any candidate. For this, the Election Commission will have to raise a fund within the next four weeks. You will be asked to deposit the fine in that fund.
